The "closing" price this contest uses are the bids (for longs) and asks (for shorts), which are not necessarily the closing prices. As a more severe example, my short BTIM closed at 9 1/16, but since the blankety-blank market maker has the ask way up at 9 1/2, that's my score for the day. That makes a difference of almost 1% overall to me, or six places.
