You lost me. We are both talking about a 4-8 GB primary harddrive. I suggested dividing it so that backups could be done on smaller media.

Whats to save? Records ( Excel & Quicken )stay on the MAc.

If there is nothing to save you do not need daily backup IMO.

Didn't you say the Mac will be networked? Why do you need a removable device on the NT trading machine? Why not send Drive Image backup files through the network to the Mac JAZ drive? What needs to be Fail Safe?
