Audio cd sound is 44.1KHz 16bit stereo, MP3 sound quality is 44.1KHz 16bit stereo... I guess you are right, CD quality is better LOL. (Sarcasm, its exactly the same.)

Well, at least you're no longer propounding the misguided notion that MP3 provides "better" sound quality than music recorded on a compact disk. FYI, the difference is that MP3 music is heavily compressed. The process of compression, decompression and playback adds a certain amount of noise and distortion to music compressed using the MP3 format. Moreover, any playback from an MP3 is provided through your computer's audio output, which also adds some background noise. Until DVD-Audio hits the market in larger numbers, compact disks are the way to go if sound quality is your key concern.

You say people will not download free MP3's because they would rather abide by the law and they wish to compensate the artist? In what alternate reality?

Two points:

1.) You asked "Why pay $14 for something you can get for free?" My answer was that there are legal and ethical considerations suggesting that compensating the artist for his or her work is preferable to stealing copyrighted material.

2.) Presuming your argument is correct, you essentially validate the RIAA argument that wide distribution of Rio will lead to increased piracy.
