>>>Why on the earth he keeps predicting future earnings?

He doesn't. When Pete revised earnings in August he did make a prediction of earnings for fiscal 1999. Pete has been asked the question multiple times about earnings predictions, and has stated that the they will not make any earnings predictions beyond fiscal 1999. And the reasons for the 1999 earnings predictions is that CF did not want to create a "black hole" (but that happened anyway). We'll just have to wait and see if Pete keeps his word, I'm sure many "eye's" will be watching.

Yes, it was there. In fact, the whole letter is, IMO quite strong. I don't consider it more fluff than fact. The cards are mostly dealt out in the early hadn of Presentment, and Payment, and I still firmly believe that CKFR is holding the stronger hand.

We have to accept what has happened, and move on from that. The war is by no means lost. I'm sure that managment was just as stunned as us by the recent stock price. I also think that they will do their undaunted best to see that this recent buying opportunity never happens again.

I tend to agree with his comments that fiscal 99 will prove to be most exciting, and rewarding to shareholders.
