Spectrum Signal Processing (SSPIF), one of my smallcap favorites is starting to move. In addition to a friendlier market environment, it benefits from strong trends in its DSP business. There is an excellent and very informative thread here on SI that is well worth checking out.

Andrew, SGI, I know SGI like flys know s*it. Last year they destroyed me next to apm. It was before I realized great scientist make stupid
managers. It's a long story, but I understand their failure. Big
ego's taking on SUNW without any business knowledge.
Now today. I know they've brought in new management because
McCraken was a lousy manager, but last I heard he stayed as COB
only giving up his CEO position. I'll need to research again as I've
been out of touch with the company for about 1 year. Talent they
had, as well as products. If I can find good management direction, I
believe this could be a good stock all around. Price wise, looks
like a good H&R.
Spent a lot of time in xirc, got out about even because of them
unable to turn a profit in a captured market. Should have stuck
with that one as they fixed themselves. In and out around $14 with
2k shares. Would have been a sweet hold. Wiser today!
I'm going to grab an SGI position quickly, today or 1st profit taking day for a H&R, then spend some time to re-evaluate them long term. I believe in video streaming and I know SGI was strong in that field.
