I was watching Cold War on CNN tonight and realized that Qwest is doing a lot of advertising. This seems to be a good move. They are getting name recognition out there first, along with MCI-Worldcom.

Here's a real interesting story...
____________

I sold QWST 35 puts for October. The stock closed on Friday at 35 1/8. Normally, options exercises are based on the closing price on the Friday of expiration week.

It seems that someone exercised their put option and put me stock at 35, even though it closed above that!! Since these are traded as European style options, you can do that. In other words, you can exercise your put or call ANYTIME before expiration. Someone was obviously scared that QWST would tank on Friday, and wanted to get their 35/share.

I now am the proud owner of more stock, at a very cheap price of 35/share, minus what you already payed me for the selling the put!! The stock is almost 37, today.

Hey! Whoever you are! Thanks for the gift!!
