From Emulex quarter report, August 13,1998: "Shipments of fibre channel adapters in fiscal 1998 more than doubled from the prior year, and rose on a sequential basis in the fourth quarter, led by growing demand for the high performance and increased connectivity uniquely provided by fibre channel technology," noted Folino. "In June, our new LP7000 fibre channel adapter was deployed by a key Emulex OEM customer to produce a record breaking Transaction Processing Council Benchmark D (TPC-D) result for the 100 gigabyte test.
