Greg,

I did an install of the CL Banshee last weekend and posted:

Message 5985416

I installed another one for a friend earlier this evening and things went equally well. He tried out a couple of 2D applications to check performance and found a large improvement. He had an S3 card but I didn't notice which one. I wasn't able to hang around much for any other activity...

Also, I haven't found anyone in any of the stores to admit that there is a rebate on the Banshee card and no hints of it at the Creative site that I've found. There was a rebate on the Voodoo2 cards. Am I missing a rebate or is the rebate only on the Voodoo2 cards?

Best Regards,
Jim

Yes the CL version is slightly less expensive, but the Guillemot comes with SGRAM and the others come with slower and less expensive SDRAM... I have heard reports that this results in a speed difference of from 5-25%. Not sure what the real difference is.

OT: What online stores have you used to purchase computer products (video cards, motherboards, CPUs, etc) and would recommend? I'm looking to build a PC from scratch.

TIA,

Alex
