David, I just thought I'd add a little fact to counter LLCoolG's fiction. GSCO is the largest market maker for PSFT, accounting for around 14% of all trades through August 1998. So it is not at all surprising that the number one market maker (with around double the volume of its nearest competitor) does a huge volume of trades when the volume is high. Look at the data for yourself:

David, I've been wondering the same thing about whether they'll have a cc. To tell you the truth, I really don't know either way. But I think it would be in their best interest to not only have one this time but to start the practice going forward.

I have to think that if they don't have one, it's going to be perceived as very negative by the investment community regardless of this quarter's numbers. The reason being that it will appear they don't want to be asked questions.

I know they just had one but I really think some reassurance at this point would help the stock. Anyway, if anyone knows the answer, please let us know.
