Bear Down,

I do not work for anyone who does anything with, for or to REFR. I am a long term investor who has been in the stock for several years adding to my position on dips. I have many friends and family that I have brought to this stock. I feel strongly about Research Frontiers and their future and many have asked questions such as you have. I have told Pat Bryant that she is welcome to verify to anyone who calls that I am a small investor (I own approx.15,000 shares). I have never been involved in any private placement and I do not now nor have I ever worked for the company.

I am aware of "hype artists" but in the case of REFR they operate on the short side. I and other longs have had to go through many blasts from these individuals who spread rumor and make false conjectures regarding our investment. I always try to give outside sources to verify my statements. Those who are loathe to contact the company should get in touch with licensees or Dr. Lampert (I think Lawrence National Laboratory at Berkeley would probably have a contact number).

Finally, I don't think you will have to wait much longer to see whether or not SPD technology will be in products on the market in the near term. I expect to hear the signing of a major top-tier automotive supplier before year end. I also believe our 3 licensees in precommercialization will have announcements forthcoming. If any one feels that they need to wait for this before committing to purchasing the stock, I would understand completely. The stock has short sellers in it so it does not look as if it will shoot up until there is news. Most of us buying are waiting below the bid and accumulating on dips. That is a strategy most of the longs espoused all year (if we were "hyping" this would hardly help us in moving the stock price).

Everyone of course should do their own due diligence and invest accordingly. You will have to excuse some of us longs if we have already started celebrating the advent of SPD products, but we do so because we have a clear picture of where we stand and we have waited a long time. The rest of the market will soon become aware of what we already know. It wasn't coincidence that the recent WSJ article was in a column entitled "Under the Radar." Raju had many companies he could have written about but he chose REFR because it will be showing up on your radar screens shortly. Don't take anybody's word for it. Just stay tuned.

ND

Bear Down, Dixon and I disagree on many things about REFR, but I believe she is exactly as claimed, an enthusiastic long time investor in REFR who has spend much time studying the company. I have a short position.
