I would love another round of profits at the banks, brokers and
airlines, but don't really expect them to comply.

Have you checked out WFC lately? It is complying very nicely. It made over a 60 point run in the last 8 days. It had a low of 302 1/2 on 10/7 and a high Friday of 370, currently at 358 5/8.

I am showing earnings for Tuesday. No idea of how those will come out, but I will be looking for re-entry of my puts Mon-Wed. What do you think about WFC?

Mike - I agree that the Internet stocks are totally bloated but a lot of fortunes have been lost shorting Amazon and Yahoo (I would short Amazon way before Yahoo but I am scared of both). My guess is that the second tier internet stocks are the better shorts (like KTEL but I couldn't borrow it) and am curious as to your favorite tier 2 internet shorts (although I would love to hear all of them). Also, two more longs I would like to go on the record with: Elan (ELN) and Immunex (IMNX). Enjoy - Howard

Mike, since you are a fundamentalist ... why do you view drug stocks as being bloated in this markets? The market is forward looking and much depends on the new drugs in the pipeline to be rolled out in '99. If I recall, you are trading the drug index rather than individual equities, right?

As for bloated internet stocks, what is your opinion of AOL? btw, one does not need to be on drugs to buy an internet stock ... one just needs to close ones eyes and pull the trigger, my dear. Been there, done that ... several times.
