Thanks once more Randy. Very interesting and useful.

...one note. The DCR has been the dominant midrange specialized flight testing recorder for awhile I believe. Even the new solid state recorders acknowledge that by using their interface, if I am not mistaken. Sure hope DCR stays dominant for at least awhile longer ...would go a long way towards greasing the tracks to their makeover. And towards stopping the decline. Vital really.

Randy/Hal: That TV Station equipment list would have been State of the Art around 1990. All the post-production equipment is analog. There was no mention of any digital equipment in the list (non-linear editing or even a digital video tape recorder---DigitalBetacam, D1, D2, D3 or DCT).

I wouldn't use this list for whatever research you're doing.
