Yep they seem to be popping up all over the place, and this is in spite of the fact, frequently pointed to by the coffee person, that ATT is in over 120 countries. I don't dispute the fact, I just don't understand its significance because as you point out, there are plenty of small companies trying to and are getting into this market.

Good Morning {{{DGIVAHOLICS}}}!

And you too L.E... Thanks for pointing out that page to us. It is clear that there is huge opportunity in the IP arena to make a LOT of money. The traditional telcos are price vulnerable for a number of reasons. Additionally, it seems that the barriers for entry into the U.S. IP market are low enough that the small guy has a chance to make it.

One of the nice things about DGIV's strategic plan is to get into the nations where the barriers for entry are a bit higher. It seems that may have, in fact, slowed their progress down a bit, but in the long run, give them a bit of more profit protection. For example, DGIV owns one of 15 ISP licenses in Indonesia... no more are to be issued. That reduces the risk of competition. Now, we all know that governments change their mind and could issue more licenses and that Indonesia is having some rough times... its just an example of what they are trying to do.

The fact that these smaller companies are showing up and that the larger companies have entered the arena as well, lend tremendous credence to the IP sector of the industry... so, sure there are dangers, but by the same token their very presence also helps the cause. At this point, where most players are worrying about grabbing IP minutes, I believe they are much more help than they are a problem.
