Steve Re: Fedspeak and the shape of things to come.

The fed action seems to have been timed to, among other things, to take advantage of chart formations already in place. Which to my "noid" thinking would tend to suggest that the bottom of the next dip could be another launching pad. (holy pavlov!)

Before Thursday, CNBC had a former Fed governor on talking about the possibility of between meeting fed action. Friday they had another former governor on saying that fed actions are not over yet.

During one of AG's most recent talks, he said a couple of things that stick in my mind:

1) John Q. should just ignore the papers for a little while.
2) There will be some firms that go belly up as a result of market directions.

Yep the USD seems screwed for a while here.

FWIW

>>do we, as traders now buy on dips rather than sell into rallies ?!<<

<gasp>

and...Santa is a she
and...Yankees @#?!...urrrgh

Verily, verily, I tell thee, this market will not come to its end until ye bought both on dips and on the rallies

PS: On a seriouser note, one of the main reasons for the Fed actions lately must be the Marshall plan for US retirement savings plan - called the market. Germans take their savings book to the church. American has his latest stock printout in his back pocket, when talking to the ... person upstairs. What he must have been saying to her (its a she as you all probably know, name Shekhina), was rather unflattering.
