re: cookies

cheeky, I have been lurking on this subject, but will add my 2 cents.

If SI permits cookies, I believe it will tarnish its activities. I am a very private person, not because I think I'm real important or rich, I just like doing my own thing, and not having to answer to anyone or being monitored for doing nothing wrong.

In MHO, if cookies do get pushed through, I think there will be several of the most bookmarked people stop posting completely. Will this hinder SI? I doubt it, but it will be a great loss for those who believe in freedom of privacy.

Isn't this close to wire tapping, which requires a court order to do so? Just my 2 cents.
