Charles
Thank you very much for all the timely articles you post.
You have kept this thread going when just about all of us had dropped out.
I sincerely hope for all our sakes and Bill Carraway and all the folks at Green Oasis that we finally see a bit of justice.
I doubt that many companies could survive the hurdles this company has had placed in its way.

Regards
Mike

China, Vietnam PMs Laud The Stability Of Socialism
07:09 a.m. Oct 20, 1998 Eastern

BEIJING (Reuters) - Stability in China and Vietnam
amid the Asian financial crisis has shown the
''advantage of socialism,'' local media quoted Chinese
Premier Zhu Rongji as telling his Vietnamese
counterpart, Phan Van Khai.

Zhu and Khai, the first Vietnamese prime minister to
visit China since the two communist neighbors
normalized ties in 1991, discussed the Asian crisis and
their growing bilateral ties in a meeting Monday, the
China Daily and Xinhua news agency said.

''Although they suffered from the Asian financial crisis
to different extents, the two countries have both
managed to maintain social stability and economic
development, and this has fully demonstrated the
advantage of socialism and the development potential of
both nations,'' Xinhua quoted Zhu as telling Khai.

Khai expressed admiration for China's efforts in
maintaining the stability of its currency and in realizing its
eight percent economic growth target, Xinhua said.

So the communist countries of the Far East can now lord it over their supposedly free enterprise neighbors who are mired in a deep depression. The most credible potential customers to visit GRNO in a long time are people from Red China.

It is ironic to me that the government most interested in actually producing jobs for their own people using the capitalist free enterprise model while cleaning up their environment and producing valuable distillates is not the government of the USA or of South Carolina, but of Communist China. For somebody whose formative years were the McCarthy era, it is a world turned upside down.

From a recent GRNO press release, we see that the plant was recently demonstrated to potential customers from Qingdoa Asia-Pacific Benz Motorcar Co., Ltd., Qingdoa, China.

Note that the press release spells Qingdao wrong. As Norm has pointed out, even the Chinese get creative when spelling their place names with western characters, so we can't hold it against the people who rewrote the text for release.

Here is a map of the province where Qingdao is located. Note that it is in Shandong province.

Here are a couple Shandong web sites.
