The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1998 edition that the
mystery seller of Inco's VBN shares was solved last night when mining promoter
Robert Friedland revealed that he had eliminated all his holdings. The Globe's
News Bulletins column reports that Mr. Friedland, who is the chairman of Ivanhoe
Capital, based in Vancouver and Singapore, sold 3.6 million VBN shares at an
undisclosed price, though he probably suffered a substantial loss. The VBN
shares, which entitle the holders to 25 per cent of the cash flow of Inco's as yet
unopened nickel mine in Voisey's Bay, Labrador, reached a peak of $43.15 in
mid-1996. Yesterday, they closed at $7.80, down five cents.

Since Franco bought 6.6 million, I wonder who sold the other 3 million?
