Steve(G or B or ?): Thanks for the ARTT info. I don't know where you find that stuff, over at the Edgar site? Anyway, seems like if I have the numbers right that equals about $4.4 per share. Also, doesn't Brown have a Buy out on ARTT? Here is some info I grabbed from Chuck919 over at Yahoo WCII (yes, I admit I still go there from time to time). Regarding the following, doesn't ARTT own some of what this group (and WCII) wants (i.e. european licenses). Also, doesn't Comcast have some pretty deep pockets (Gates, excuse me, Mr. Gates has a piece of one of those cable concerns, wasn't it Comcast ?). ************************** << Tuesday October 20, 8:00 am Eastern Time Company Press Release SOURCE: Comcast Corporation Comcast Corporation Signs Joint Partnership Agreement with TeleSource Corporation Ltd. These Two Companies will Join Forces to Compete for Wireless Broadband Telecommunications Licenses Throughout Europe PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast Corporation (Nasdaq: CMCSA - news, CMCSK - news), headquartered in the United States, has entered into a partnership agreement under which it will be the majority shareholder and operating partner of TeleSource Corporation BV, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. This company is being formed for the purpose of acquiring broadband wireless telecommunications licenses in major cities throughout Europe. TeleSource, in partnership with Comcast International Holdings, a division of Comcast Corporation, will provide wireless voice, data and video communications services to small and medium-sized businesses, focusing primarily on high-speed, Internet access and broadband business data communications. The company is poised to provide European markets with cost-effective, high capacity wireless broadband technology, and has the technological and international experience to offer services that surpass potential competitors. ''We've had a solid history of providing wireless technology, both internationally in Brazil as well as in the United States,'' said Brian Gibbons, of Comcast International. ''We expect that within the next few years governments throughout Western Europe will allocate frequencies for broadband wireless, and TeleSource intends to be a part of this significant growth,'' Gibbons added. According to TeleSource president and CEO Robert Condon, the partnership couldn't come at a better time. ''With the world-wide deregulation of telecommunications markets, the growing demand for bandwidth driven by the Internet, and the technological advances of digital cellular wireless networks, we believe we can successfully deploy our networks throughout Europe,'' Condon said. Condon said TeleSource hopes to be able to serve an estimated 50 million pops over the next three to four years, and receive its first license in the first quarter, 1999. In the meantime, the regulatory authority in the Netherlands has issued a temporary pilot license to TeleSource for the operation of a broadband wireless network in Amsterdam. It is anticipated that service will commence early next year. In addition, TeleSource has applications for a similar network in the Republic of Germany that will be awarded later this year. >> SNIP
