I would have exited that last short with a point or a touch more. Now looking for a buy signal. Initially, my buy side target on the TICK is 314. That number can change, but that is the first target....FWIW.

EDIT - Already there, but the new target is 431. Man....fast TICK. I don't like it when that happens as it doesn't necessarily get factored into the SPOO prices. Caution is the watchword....

OK coug, on a buy signal. At this point entry would not be good. I would wait for confirmation that it is moving up and get in on the pull-back....shit you know what to do.

Let's see how this one plays out....

EDIT - Coug....I am a bit nervous about this one, but let's give it a go on paper. Long at 87.75...make that 88.00. 87.75 wasn't on the ask for very long, I'll take 88.00

REEDIT - now at 87.75/87.50...if the TICK doesn't get moving very soon, I am out. I think I will give it a couple more minutes....

coug,

You are dead on....this thing is not acting "normal." The indications are working, sort of. The TICK/SPOO are thrashing around seemingly unaware as to what direction is correct.

One read I have is that we move slightly higher than the highs of the day and then we are down from there for a few days. However, I just cannot get a confirmation via my method that that is going to be so. The signals come and are quickly negated by the action.

I will be standing flat for a while until something is a bit more orderly. I wonder if the pits are thin today. It almost appears that they are.
