Mohan: I just got an invitation to attend Michael Dell's talk in Chicago. I am working hard to get our company to consider going direct with DELL. Yesterday I talked with DELL's Major Account Manager from Chicago about how to penetrate our company. I also gave her some leads in other Iowa companies. Within an hour I had an email invitation to Michael Dell's Netspeed presentation. DELL is so efficient and customer-oriented. I will report back to the DELL thread what I learn at this unique meeting. I hear that about 15 high level DELL execs will be attending. DELL has also recruited CEOs and CIOs from dozens and dozens of large midwestern firms. This is a great opportunity for Michael Dell to strengthen relationships with current and future customers (and investors).

I am making progress with our company. We currently use IBMs on the business side and Apples on the editorial and creative side of the house. Here is part of an email that I received from our CIO this morning:

<<Scott:

Thanks for your note. Yes, we're actively going to consider moving to Dell if as they indicate their prices are competitive and they can demonstrate their value added services in systems configuration, longer useful lives and enhanced services to our remote offices.>>

I am confident that DELL will get our business and I was most impressed with the knowledge that their Midwestern Major Account Manager had. On Friday she is going to introduce me to a number of DELL execs and possibly even Michael. Last night she also shared that DELL is currently selling 700 servers/day and quickly ramping up to sell 4000 servers/day. The server business is exceeding their HIGH expectations. Hmmmm.....this should not be surprising.

**DELL continues to prove to me that they are the next DELL!!!!
