John, That call was on 9/4. It's possible that at the time they felt very positive about Q3 and the future. It's also possible that they either lost some deals or had some deals for this quarter defer. The only reason I even say this is that I just remembered that they also had to extend their quarter end to the end of the month for the first time ever in Q3.

Someone had a question about this back then as to how this could be. The way it works is that if a company has their quarter finished prior to the end of the quarter...e.g. by the 25th of the month, they just don't ship any software on deals that come in after this date.

I don't even know if this was true or not but if it was then things changed since that cc....at least short term.
