the note should have included that this was SPECIFICALLY IS-95 CDMA.....does not apply to GSM, where microcells are not effectual in doing this type of cell density.

Let me see if I get this: All other things being equal, WLL has an effective capacity 2-3X mobile CDMA?

That is not too shabby a difference. What other cost advantages would WLL have?

In the real world, I wonder how much difference this will have on the cost structure compared to mobile CDMA? Some, obviously, but there are other factors including the cost of the tower's real estate, the tower itself along with other hard infrastructure, bribes (oops, I mean "consulting fees") (well, now that I think about it the word "bribes" is obviously appropriate in some places), and licenses and other fees to local governments.

So how much $$ percentage really gets saved?
