peter, I haven't gotten my JPR application in yet. :( I am using Waterhouse as an interim broker. Practically no ability to short effectively, but it's been a time to go long. But they can execute an order at 9:30 am. I sold some CIEN into the gap up right at the bell this morning. Not only did it execute flawlessly, they got me an extra 1/16. Of course Datek would have gotten me more money this morning, as I understand no orders were executing early. But I would have earned that extra money with heart palpitations, and I was able to buy back in for the ride up anyway. Barb
