<<Is Datek getting into trouble with their clearing house? >>

I think it is because the people who hold stocks long sold them, so Datek does not have shares to lend to you. After all, yours is naked short, right?

I think this is a good sign that Datek is clearing their books.

<< Anyone notice there has been a lot of buy-ins lately? >>

I go bought in at LHSG at the high yesterday (Of course) It has since dropped 3 points in an hour of trading time. I called them and they said I was sent notice. I never got any notice. I have been getting my trade confirmations so I assume it is thier problem not mine. They said that they have to belive I got notice because the guy in that department said I did.

The Customer Support person actually told me that many stocks are now being marked No Shorts because people were loosing money. I asked him if he was now my babysitter as well. I really cant believe it. Are they going to prevent me from going long if they think the stock is going to TANK. I dont think so.

Sorry about the rant, andy
