"Recently, however, the largest vaccine manufacturer in the world decided that it is interested in buying this small company's product to the tune of $31 million plus $900,000 up front. Further, the worlds largest vaccine manufacturer wants to buy 1.3 million shares at a price that would be about 97% higher than today's closing price."

The deadline for announcing whether or not this deal will go through is October 30, 1998.

Is this a big if:

"On June 30th 1998, Cistron and Pasteur Merieux Connaught executed a letter of intent to grant Pasteur Merieux Connaught a three-year option to enter into an exclusive, worldwide license with Cistron. If the option is exercised, the option and license agreement could be worth in excess of 33 million to Cistron, assuming that products attain regulatory approval."
