Pardon my ignorance: Could someone tell me what a "sell-side analyst" is? How does this differ from any other analyst (buy-side???) ?

Thanks in advance,

Thomas

In spite of the fact that there has been some good NN news today, as well as over the past few days, today's stock market activity provides a clear indication as to where the investment world is putting its money. There were solid upside moves for LU, COMS, CSCO, and TLAB. Near the close, NN was up 1/8 on light volume. The investment world continues to demonstrate a lack of confidence in TM/NN. Whether or not a good quarter will change this condition is anyone's guess. Also, the takeover speculation is not moving the stock price higher. On the other hand, maybe the speculation is preventing the stock from going any lower. As I posted on an earlier letter, NN has been around, publicly, since 1989, and it seems that all NN is good for currently is takeover speculation at depressed prices. Well, maybe one day soon, we will wake-up some morning to read that the takeover speculation has turned into reality. Please, take us!
