This stock is going to $15, or lower. The quarter ended 9/98 was peak quarterly earnings of $.17, PSFT will not be able to do more than $.17 for at least the next 4 quarters. Morgan Stanley is at $.64 for 1999, 20x $.64 ~ $13.... 20x for a company that can't grow earnings is reasonable.

PSFT CFO clarifies projected revenue growth...

PSFT CFO Ron Codd was quoted on CBS Marketwatch (see my prior post, above) as saying that projected revenue growth was 25-30%. As this conflicted with the official projection of 25-35%, I queried him about it today by e-mail.

The relevant portion of his response is:

"I certainly did not intend to convey any different expectations than those that were contained in our third quarter earnings release (business outlook section) which you correctly noted contained a projection of 25-35%. Since I don't have a recording of the interview, I can't honestly say whether I was misquoted or, quite frankly, sloppy.
...
Our guidance, official, unofficial or otherwise, remains as we stated in the earnings release."

Endquote.

Since the interview I have seen 25-30% cited in various places. This clarification should correct this misunderstanding.
