Kevin, The URL you pointed to was right on with the exception of saying that buy backs at the current high valuations levels were not as advantageous as in the past. Historically, stock repurchases at all levels have been a real good idea. The high valuation argument has been made over at least 3 years now. IMHO the stock will continue to go up at a rate justifying continuing purchases by IBM and equity investors at large. IBM has huge advantages over the competition in many areas including mainframes and minicomputers, high speed chip fabrication, disk drives and read heads, services and the ability to offer comprehensive worldwide solutions.
