And done so very tactfully too... LOL!

>>I was originally responding to Lazarus Long's claim that DGIV had one of only 15 ISP licenses. We've established that is not true.<<

lil e,

<<It's interesting that "PT Primedia" seems to be another firm that cannot be found on the net outside of DGIV press releases. >>

Methinks you might be mistaken.

From Post #29922
<<There has been some recent discussion on the ownership of P.T.
Primedia ArmoEkadata (an Indonesian ISP). The Indonesia Internet Service Providers Association, the main association in Indonesia, has been contacted and they confirmed that Digitcom, a US company, acquired them. Information is still being collected in this area and will be posted if it expands or refutes this assertion. >>

The Indonesia Internet Service Providers Association is hardly a "DGIV press release". You can be pretty much assured that if team Benji gives dd out on the thread that they have verified it outside of the company.

Next comment???

Big E

"I was originally responding to Lazarus Long's claim that DGIV had one of only 15 ISP
licenses. We've established that is not true."

In the interest of balanced information, I have to take exception to this latest statement of yours.

I went back and looked at the Statement of Mr. Long. I think you would agree that there is a whale of difference between the statement Mr. Long made and the claim you made today.

Mr. Long claimed that there were only 15 licensed ISPs Indonesia, that prompted some useful discussion, and you contributed to it (thank you) regarding the actual number. While I don't think anybody has the exact number nailed down, I think we can all agree that there are more than 15.

Your Statement to investors and potential investors who read this thread was that Digitcom Corp was the source of that claim, and not Mr. Long. When I saw your post, I became concerned because I would consider it a more serious matter if the company was the source as you represented as opposed to some person who posts on SI.

If part of your purpose here is to help investors from being misled, a stance I support, you yourself should be a little more careful or you might be the source of that which you seek to prevent.

Since there was a Dept. of Commerce report that uses the number 15 in terms of operational ISPs in 1997, I suspect that was the source of Mr. Long's confusion. Since Digitcom, in its communications I have been able to review has never spoken to this matter, I have no idea where you might have become confused. Hopefully it was an honest mistake, but some of your comments, at times, create room for reasonable doubt in my opinion.

Best Regards

Hello Everybody, LE you made the comment...It's interesting that "PT Primedia" seems to be another firm that cannot be found on the net outside of DGIV press releases.

I use a really good search engine called WEB ferret and was able to come up with a lot of URL's mentioning the ISP Digitcom acquired PT Primedia ArmoEkadata.

Here is the first, also it mentions licenses to provide Digital Data and Voice I wonder if this has something to do with the 15 licenses issued for ISP's?

Tell me when to stop!

DigitCom Enters Indonesian Telecom Market
SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA, U.S.A., 1998 MAR 27 (NB) -- By Craig Menefee, Newsbytes. Upstart telecom firm DigitCom [OTC:DGIV] has
arranged to buy all of Indonesian data network firm PT Primedia ArmoEkadata Internet, a local Internet service provider (ISP) whose license allows both voice and data transmission over the Internet. The agreement means DigitCom can in effect serve as a full-fledged telecom provider in Indonesia, said DigitCom sources, a trick that much larger telecom firms have failed to pull off. Under the deal announced Friday, DigitCom arranged with the Indonesian government to buy the Indonesian firm's stock under undisclosed terms. The purchase gives DigitCom what it called "unique access to the Indonesian market" since the government does not currently plan to issue more licenses to operate digital communications services there.
