Don:

Try moving the cursor all the way to the bottom of the screen again. It may even disappear. Then left click and hold the button down and move the cursor up. It should pull the taskbar back into sight.

The other thing you can do is, if yu have a Windows keyboard, hit the button on the left, between the CTRL and ALT buttons. That should pop up the task bar.

donald: You can drag the TaskBar off the screen the same way you size a window. If you have done that, you “must” drag it back up.

However, you may only see the top arrow when the cursor changes at the bottom of the screen. Click and hold the right mouse button to drag the TaskBar back up onto the screen.

If you have checked the auto hide box in the TaskBar Properties, TaskBar Options Tab...just move your cursor to the bottom of your screen it should come up automatically.

I suspect you accidentally dragged the TaskBar off the screen sizing a window.

There is one other possiblity, you did not click the Full Screen Icon at the top of your screen did you? If you did...click it again!

LG

Don,

You are not on the bar at the bottom. The one that has the "start" button on it. You should have the cursor on the bottom bar and then CLICK the right mouse button.

Then the go to properties and then you will see the "auto hide" check box.

Donald: If you do not yet have your problem resolved yet and are using Windows 95, you might read this and give it a try:

Changing The Border Size Of Windows

When working in Windows 95 did you ever want to kick the cat because you couldn't get your cursor to change into a double-arrow to resize a window? Those windows borders are just a little too narrow for those folks who have trouble using a mouse. Here's an easy way to make those borders bigger, and your mouse tasks easier:

1 - Click Start/Settings/Control Panel and select "Display"

2 - Click on the "Appearance" tab

3 - In the "Item" area, drop the menu and select "Active Window Border"

4 - In the "Size" area, select the size you'd like the border to be. 1 is the default, and you can go as high as 50. Watch the little diagram. As you increase the number, the diagram changes to show you what the border will look like.

5 - Select a color for your border if you'd like.

6 - Click the "Apply" button, and then the "OK" button to make your changes permanent.
