get real Fred read my post. It's the product that's more important. not the price that screwed up them(MSFT KO) up.

The Japanese auto makers gained market share (via quality) from the US car makers while actually selling at higher prices for the same class of car.<<
Nice examples! The Japanese actually gained their market share when the yen was much more in their favor tho'. Later quality became their trump card. The Koreans( Hyundai) later tried the same strategy. it worked for awhile til quality caught up with them.

Fred, the pricing isn't that equivalent. Wendy's value combos cost on the average one dollar more than McDonald's. But Wendy's still gains market share.

Of course, there's a slight difference between Dave Thomas and Jerry Sanders.
