As I have previously posted this whole sector has been hard hit! Those that have remained should be rewarded IMHO as DGIV and the rest of the group begin to rebound from these lows. Regards..woody

IT Index

The Internet Telephony Sector suffered as great as any, in the long cruel summer experienced by the Market. The Fall has not been any kinder to this sector, as Small and Mid Caps comprise the majority of stocks that are emerging in this field. The major indices had a great rebound, but the Small and Mid Caps have still continued their year-long weakness. In this turbulent market, the lack of solid earnings dollars, have undermined the progress made on a technological and strategic level. Despite the alliances and growth, the revenues have not been high enough to sustain the formerly lofty market capitalizations for even the strongest seeming of the Sector players.

Leading the news this week, was a weak earnings report by Dialogic(DLGC) that caused a Friday tumble of nearly 20%.  The overseas demand for products was weaker due to the re-trenching of foreign markets. This condition is expected to turn around in the next 2 quarters and the outlook for future earnings from Dialogic seems to be sound. Other movers of the past few weeks have continued their trends. E-Net(ETEL) has continued to drop from its year high of $20 dollars, to close at $2 on Friday. This decline is the latest of the high movers in the industry to fall from market grace. ETEL had bucked the down turn, but eventually the lack of revenue support took its toll.

The pattern seems that once these Sector movers come down from their high point, they form a base. This has happened with Netspeak(NSPK), VocalTec(VOCLF), and Natural Microsystems(NMSS), down to the Micro Caps. All await the growth in fundamentals that will be needed to fuel the rise of this sector.

Good Morning {{{DGIVAHOLICS}}}

>>It's really too bad that we don't seem to be able to pin down any simple, straightforward business contracts here. <<

Howard, Digitcom currently has no contracts (even complex ones) that we know about. Of course, that isn't news to you. You also know that there are currently several "possibilities" being pursued... as does the rest of the thread. So, I guess my question is, what was the point of the statement?

and...

>>I don't have a clue what your analogy has to do with DGIV/Indonesian ISPs<<

I do believe that he was just raising a possible (note the word possible) scenario for a business entity, such as Louis International (LITE), to be created. I do not believe it has anything to do with Indonesian ISP's.
