voodoo: Re. "A company that makes a loss 2 quarters in a row".

Are you talking about Adaptec? When was the last time Adaptec had an operating loss? Last I checked (through 1QFY99 - 30 June 98), Adaptec had a string of 54 or so straight profitable quarters. Let's see, dividing 54 (or so) by 4 = 13 or so years.

Now, beating expectations has not been one of its strong suits this year. But an operating loss? Not for a long time.

Someone correct me if I've got this wrong.

But I really can't fault you for trading the stock. With all it's gyrations, a trader might be able to win (or lose) a bundle.

I see you've shorted the stock. I would like us both to win on this one. Good luck.
