ERICY may have the opportunity to fudge the patent facts but what could be their motive? If they're lying it will be easily and quickly be revealed.

Everyone is speaking from a position of disinformation. All questions will be answered in due time. Personally, I would suspect that the US patent office is unwilling to answer any questions about patents, firm or unfirm, that are in process. That and the fact that the patent office in your town doesn't have a clue as to what the patent office in my town is up to. C'mon, it's the government! ;-)

It helps if you put all information, positive or negative, through the logic filters. Why would QualComm lie? They probably wouldn't. Why would Ericcson lie? They probably wouldn't either. Therefor there is probably just a misunderstanding.
