I think I made the point that Shephard's death was heinous and a tragedy under any circumstance (at least I tried). I don't believe that being murdered because you are a homosexual is any more tragic than because you are black, a Jew, white, ugly, fat, etc. Murder is murder. They are all tragedies. JLA

I agree with you 100 percent. The "the good times" lifestyle romanticized by the media and permitted by parents in this country constantly puts young people at risk of alcohol poisoning, drug overdose, sexual disease, and violence. I don't believe this cultural problem can be solved on a governmental level, however.
