"Look at the volume...what you see is a WAR between good and evil"

You have to be kidding. What you are seeing is the market marking PSFT to fair value.

My definition of 'fair value' is the price at which a willing buyer meets a willing seller.

Moneymade, I agree with your assessment. What I meant was that PSFT will be a trading stock instead of long term stock for next few months after reaching low-to mid 20's.

Good Luck

Moneymade, What is the basis for saying we will hit 23 next week if it doesn't sink today? Is there some impetus that is going to cause this stock to increase almost 20%?

Just becasue it ran up from its low last week doesn't mean this will happen again. Last week and early this week it was speculation and anticipation that all the negative signs were just wrong and that there would be a great earnings report and the future would be rosy.

Now with that behind us there just isn't anything to keep that kind of volatility in this stock. Go back and take a look at orcl's chart from last December for an example. It was two months before the stock even really returned to where it was the first day after the drop.

I hope I'm wrong because I like PSFT. But there are times when you have to separate the stock price from your personal feelings about the company. so back to my question....why is it going to go up 20%?
