We had a horrible case here in my city where a very young man paid an assassin to kill a woman who was pregnant with his child. A girl, actually, she was stabbed to death after getting off her school bus. Same thing, the mother died, the baby was delivered and lived a very short time. The assailant was caught and charged with double homicide. Now, I don't know about you, but either the fetus has rights or it doesn't. This is so clear cut to me, I really don't understand how "legal scholars" avoid the issue. bp
