You are the deluded one, my friend.

You have no vision.

Yes, it may take some time but environmental concerns will benefit RNTK mightily over the coming years.

Keep thinking, you may eventually figure it out.

MC, RNTK has GTL diesel fuel patents. Info:

Yor question #1) Is the SYNM GTL non-economical and their PR just repackaging of old stuff?

Answer: SYNM's GTL has debatable economic advantages. They are pursuing some good fronts with Chrysler and KU. New info on their efforts was provided. But the impression that they're trying to create, IMHO, is that they're leading the world in GTL, clean diesel, etc. My feeling is that they are not, based on the following (as well as the fact that Exxon and others are big in cobalt-catalyst GTL and SASOL is a major player in large-project iron-catalyst GTL)

Your question #2) Considering KU article, is RNTK being left in rear view mirror in non-bottoms GTL? (Probably not enough information available to make a judgment at this time)

Answer: There's plenty of information to make a judgement. RNTK has patents on GTL diesel fuels produced using promoted iron catalysts (their kind). #5506272 is the main one, #5324335 and #5645613 also apply. So RNTK is not being left in the dust. It's more appropriate to say SYNM is now trying to get some patents comparable to RNTK's but using cobalt catalysts. They may succeed, but SYNM will have to work around existing patents (not just RNTK's, since I suspect others have patents in the cobalt area too).

AND..........the RNTK patents cover GTL diesel fuels produced without that "expensive 3rd step" (hydrogenation) (the thing that SYNM is waving the flag about, like it's a big breakthrough). RNTK's already done it and patented it for their catalyst.

Your question #3) Is TCC experiment RNTK's ONLY major activity in non-bottoms GTL research?

Answer: Holy cow, where and how do I start? RNTK is past (18 years of work) the major research stage. RNTK has proven and patented iron-catalyst GTL for every feedstock being considered for GTL. They may very well already be competitive with anybody when the timeframe for natural gas GTL is considered. The TCC agreement covers an experiment and analyses to see 1) if TCC's gasifier can produce syngas from natural gas that is compatible with RNTK's GTL unit (a virtual certainty) and 2) if, in a closed loop commercial setup, will it provide a lower cost approach than the myriad of gasification approaches already available to RNTK, including TX's by the way.

Bottom line.....RNTK is entering the license/exploit phase.......with a major league partner for solids and liquids and a world of opportunities in natural gas GTL.

- patents already in hand
- fuel tests done years ago

Who's behind in clean diesel, etc.?

Hope this helps your perspective.

Charles, I find it very disconcerting that you feel the need to reprimand Andrew for posting a pertinent news article.
Of course he is going to front page the PR...he's an RNTK shareholder, as am I.
No one has claimed RNTK will double in an AM gap as a result of the news. It does, however concern this industry and belongs on this thread.
I question your motives...
