Why would AG raise rates in October when the FOMC was not scheduled to meet? They meet in Nov, but decided to drop them 25 basis points as a pre-emptive strike a month early. If they do not follow with another 25 point drop, I and many others will be surprised.

BTW, his job is not to "promote" the markets rise or fall, it is to fight inflation.

hdr, everyone is looking at a nov rate increase as a foregone conclusion. they are wrong. profit from it.
