Amazon Natural Treasures, Inc. - Recent Drop In Value of Company Stock

BusinessWire, Wednesday, February 18, 1998 at 16:10

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 18, 1998--

--Attention: All Stockholders of Amazon Natural Treasures, Inc.
holding free trading stock symbol: AZNT

--Subject: Recent drop in value of company stock

In the past the past three weeks, AZNT stock price has dropped
from over $3.00 to $2.00 per share. This drop was caused by
unscrupulous stock brokers shorting AZNT stock. By shorting, we mean
selling AZNT stock that they did not have in order to purposely lower
the stock price. This drop in the price of the stock is in no way
reflective of the health of Amazon Natural Treasures, Inc. On the
contrary, Amazon Natural Treasures, Inc. is healthier than ever and
is about to embark on its major advertising and sales campaign.
This will take the company out of the development stage and into
a major profit center.
We, the stockholders, must fight back and stop these unscrupulous
shorters by doing one of the following things:

<snip of the usual nonsense of calling the certs yada, yada>

It's interesting that about one month after they were apparently complaining that a $2.00 share price is "is in no way reflective of the health of Amazon Natural Treasures, Inc.", they were willing to sell AZNT shares at $0.25. I am, of course, assuming that their Feb. 18 PR meant $2.00 was too low rather than too high a price.
