Sun Tzu, Not that I don't believe you but how is it that your freinds estimates are so different than 1) TDFX guidance and 2) every other estimate out there? I was comfortable with $2 for the year and I was wrong. I'd like to see sustained earning before I start thinking about that kind of growth. Joe C.

P.S. Just finished Q2 The Reckoning - excelent add on - life seems empty now.

I'm trying to get an idea of what the typical sales profile of a Gateway or a Dell is. What I'm looking for is the split between high-end desktops (TNT sales) and low - mid-range sales (potential Banshee sales). Gateway shipped almost 900K units last quarter (from the MF nightly news). They're a step behind Compaq and Dell in terms of total shipments, but they do have a strong consumer focus. I'm guessing that Banshee could grab 20% of an OEM like that or about 180K chips. At $30 a chipset (maybe a little lower for a big volume purchase), that means $5.4 million in sales. It'll take a few big wins like that before there's a big difference to the bottom line.

I'm using 20%, because the Banshee is much more expensive that the ATI chipsets that are built right into the motherboard. I don't see Banshee as getting those very low-end sales.
