Christopher: OT. Ah. Splitting wood. A great pleasure. You see, before you, all you accomplish. I split a good bit of wood this summer at the cabins. For two sizes: wood stove and stone fireplace. My ancient mother uses the wood all winter for her wood stove. I enjoy it on cooler nights in the summer. Birch, beech, maybe some oak, rarely. A maul and a wedge, the simplest tool known to man (or woman). Good for the mind; good for the body, except in August I was standing on loose sand and the motions caused harm to something in my leg, the one I broke last October on (or off) my mountain bike. Fine now. Why did you take down the trees? Clearing land? Storm? Have faith. Management, not inflation, will bring this company back.
