Did you read the Gartner report that was posted on one of these threads recently?

If I remember it corrrectly, Y2K's impact on application software purchases this year was practically nothing. Next year the report said it impact purchases somewhat but nothing like people are saying. The way I see it, it's not the amount of the IT budget being spent on Y2K but rather will this impact the license of application software. Also, who owns the budget for this software/implementtoin. I guess could be different account by account.

Re: SCOP's architecture and ties to MSFT. Doesn't SEBL99 address this concern?

>>As for Y2K and its impact on IT budgets <<

Don't you think investors have already factored that into their pricing of these stocks? That's part of the reason so many of them have tanked.

In the conference call even Thomas Siebel said that dollars being diverted to Y2K issues is definitely a factor. He clarified that once management decides to make a front-office buying decision he's not aware of any company that has turned down Siebel because of Y2K issues.
