Dear Mr. Moore: Thank you for contacting me regarding Internet investment fraud. I certainly understand your frustration with your situation. A constituent previously contacted me concerning Mountain Energy Inc. and the controversy surrounding its stock offerings. In response to my inquiry, the Securities and Exchange Commission official contacted a member my staff and stated that they had received numerous inquiries about Mountain Energy, and the SEC was seriously investigating the matter. The official also forwarded copies of a letter and questionnaire which have been sent to individuals who have contacted the SEC regarding Mountain energy. Although you may have already received these materials, I've included copies for your information. Rest assured, I'll continue to monitor the situation. Again, thank you for contacting me.
