Hi Bill

Thanks again for the reply.

Greenland isn't all glaciers. There is some of it which is open to the ocean.

Greenlanders have had a hate on for Danes for hundreds of years. The Danes treated them like second class citizens. They aren't. For a good read try "Smylla's Sense of Snow."

Platinova (PAS) sent a ship up to the area off Thule (They call it Washington Land, I think) in late August, so that it will be in place for next years drilling season. Nothing to do with Diamonds, they think they have a Lead Zinc discovery, which may rival Polaris.

MGJ and PAS are in West Greenland, searching for whatever. I don't think there is any connection between them, other than geography.

There have been some discoveries which appear interesting, from the posts. I don't know I haven't any inside info. Sometimes I don't know if I have any outside info. Anyway, the PAS page say's there are indications of garnet.

Check out the Platinova page. I found it interesting, so I bought some.

Steve Joy posts on the MGJ page, and some others concerned with Canadian mining. He has worked for MGJ. He's a Newfoundlander, and I am betting he knows a bit about Greenland Diamonds.

Anyway, I am wondering how many diamond exploration stocks I can buy, and cover the world. Ashton - (Australia) - is going to spend a bunch of money looking for diamonds in Tasmania.

If all these mines hit diamonds, we will use them instead of gravel.

All the best.

Bruce

The MGJ in Greenland is at the southern tip., a few years back.,
there was a press release., they felt that many small lakes held kimberlite potential., three or four hundred samples were sent to S.
Africa for processing., many delays in their processing., most of the
package for Aber., Platinova., Major General was obtained from
Quadrant., an Aussie company., which originally staked a good portion of the existing claim blocks. Major found some indicator minerals on the package in S. Greenland., not much however was
reported in G-9., G-10 area that I recall., more than likely Major being
cash poor is waiting to JV the property. If some positive developements occur on any of the JV properties of Platinova., Aber.,
then the chances are better to JV Majors claims. I first bought Major
several years back., for their diamond claims., Misty lake to be exact.,
always felt they had a well balanced package., the problem is the
newsletter writers shunned them., some felt that the property package
in Greenland was split and the best areas spun into Fdordland Minerals., who share some of the same principals. Historically Bob
Bishop made the statement for his followers to sell Winspear and buy
Platinova., and he reduced Major Generals chances to nil., by issuing
the statement "eliminate Major General from the universe., I have
and suggest you do the same." or words to that effect. Since then
Major has delineated 5 pipes along with DeBeers on Victoria Island.
In this enviroment as Teevee explains., it is " show me the money
mentality". Readers of this forum have best profited from the niche
enviroment created by the select few companies mining or developing
big rock deposit., the best gains thus far in a weak market has been
from those stocks., which can show where Teevee commented lies
90% of the value. It is difficult to extract much information on stocks
JV with DeBeers., it is sort of like we made the deal., and lets let
DeBeers dictate the terms of news releases., maybe that is an oversimplification., but IMO it has affected the share prices of Mountain Province., and others that have tied the knot with DeBeers.
This image was created when people felt that Kennington Resources
was getting the short end of the stick with their DeBeers association.,
it is unjustified., because in reality., it was Kennington that backed into the agreement with DeBeers in Sasketewaan., after some primary
targets had been drilled. Thats not a secret in the market., those following that story knew it some time back., in regards to Platinova.,
they are probably a fine company., I sort of quit following the story.,
when B.Bishop advised his followers to sell Winspear to buy Platinova., at that point in time., Platinova was pulled off the list.
Cant really blame Bishop at the time., Greenland was a brand new
play with all the majors., DeBeers., Aber., Diamet., what was evident
however was his promotion of Greenland based on a few diamonds.,
and dyke system that was apparent. No pipes were ever detected
before he issued his sell on Winspear. Those shareholders that obliged his wish are paying dearly., but that is the nature of the game.,
you pay your money and take your chances. It does put a smile on
my face to see that Major has found some pipes., and I wish them well. Platinova if one wants to play in Greenland
is probably well positioned as anyone there., they have a large land
package., some key JV with the majors., and a zinc deposit., they
do seem to have some key ties with the Greenland government.
Hope this helps
Sincerely
George J. Tromp

Bill: You were talking about Major General and Greenland and the high cost if there was a diamond find going in and coming out of Greenland. I don't think you have to worry too much concerning the cost of coming out if you have a diamond mine. I understand a great day's work in a diamond mine would only fill a coffee tin.
