Clark, I totally agree Rajala doesn't understand CDMA. This in itself doesn't annoy me. The fact he argues endlessly about something he doesn't understand...that's a little annoying. However, I remember even prominent practitioners in digicomms field have had their problems with CDMA. Clark, one of my favorite books on spread spectrum....Spread Spectrum Systems with Commercial Applications by Robert C. Dixon. Are you familiar with it? My copy, don't remember which edition, bought 1994, has a chapter on CDMA and why it won't work in mobile environment!! I wonder if there is a new edition out and if this chapter has been amended.
