Gee Whillikers Ed, where did you get the idea that I was promoting a particular view one way or the other as far as Marc Andreeson's notes? I was presenting some evidence for the benefit of the readership here. Maybe Marc did make up the whole thing, I don't know, I wasn't there. Of course, you weren't there either, so you have to entertain the possibility that his notes are accurate.

ed, in addition to Bearded One's comment, I will reiterate my usual point. Microsoft hasn't exactly presented a coherent alternative version, and the Netscape version is pretty consistent with other stories about other Microsoft meetings. And if Andreeson's version is "fantastical", as Warden said, what was the deal about Clark's email anyway? Or you could take Bill's word for it, Microsoft just wanted to let Netscape know about "cool new features" in Windows 95. Bill can't talk about that anymore, though, he's forgotten all about it and it wasn't very important anyway.

Cheers, Dan.
