Yeah, Steve, nearly all is "standard" - RJ-11 including.

I got phone-cables cheaper in Spain than in Germany (probably German cables, German cars are cheaper here too...).

Exotic were French, Swizzerland, Italy and (of course) Germany - but we've found a 7-plug crossplug in a Telefonladen in Vaduz and he got them all.

My Thinkpad is still doing well, I'm quite content. As I said before, he keep my friend till the first with higher display-resolution (at least 1280 x 1024) comes in the shops.

In the meanwhile I've learned one or two tricks (like reducing the maximum-baudrate when a connection seems to be slow...) - it's a long time ago that we couldn't access the web.

I've a ALPS-printer with me (1200 dpi thermotransfer), so I can print huge tables or photorealistic pics.

Re IBM - I know, you're using that too - do you know how I can stop that automatic loading of the IBM-website after every login? When I enter another standard-page it will be overwritten when I login - by IBM's site of course. It's ennerving...

So, that's my traveller-check. Time to look at the markets <g>
