From the FWIW category, I'd think that AOL must be concerned with its look-and-feel characteristics, if they are contemplating delivery over a wide spectrum of media, each with their own peculiarities and enabling/inhibiting traits.

To be able to present content in such a way that is consistent across all of these media forms (cable, dsl, 28.8, wireless, etc.), would suggest to me that they are going to have to provide buttons on their screens for users to selectively access the grades of service that their last mile providers can accommodate. Not a trivial consideration.
