<<<A customer from Austin, Texas, who has placed several bids and won several
items, made the eight millionth bid for an SVEC ethernet adapter for laptops. >>>

Yeah. Me too. I has placed several bids for a same item and won it.
But the item had to be returned because of misshipping. That's
probably why ONSALE got so many bids.
The item I'm talking about is the memory RAM chip.
Still bidding until I get the right merchandise shipped.

A frustrated bidder.

Re:"Surpassing the eight-millionth bid so quickly"

Do the number of bids have any meaning? I think the bid manager, more bids starting at $1, and the inability to initially bid the going price on the higher dollar items because the high bid was probably in error has helped them get there a little bit quicker. It might have been useful if these things hadn't changed so much, esp the bid manager.
